Helen Rose (Pergram) Johnson Duncan

Helen Rose Pergram Johnson Duncan of Oneida, TN went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 17, 2022. Helen was a faithful woman who loved her Lord, family, Church, and community as a member of Pentecost Baptist Church. Helen was born in Norma, TN on August 19, 1932, as the second daughter of Corbin Pergram and Artha Christian. Helen shared her caring and gracious nature with patients as an LPN at Scott County Hospital for 25 years. Helen enjoyed her vegetable garden and sharing its bounty with her family, friends, and neighbors. Helen spent long evenings on her front porch in the company of her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husbands Elvin Johnson and Willard Duncan, sisters Charlene Day and Florene Lowe, and special daughter Gwenda Johnson. 

She is survived by her children, Donna (Daniel) Loyd and Larry (Gail) Johnson, stepson Dale (Charlotte) Duncan, grandchildren Amy, Chris, Eric, and Kelli, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Hicks and Bro. George Asbury officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Eric Loyd, Alan Lowe, Joe Chamblee, David Chambers, Jonathan Chambers, and Randy Clevenger.
