Jack E. King Obituary

Jack King passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 86. He was born June 16, 1934 as James Emby King, but was known by “Jack” at an early age, also known as Jackrabbit to many from his truck driving years. He also spent many years in construction working for Phillips and Jordon in Knoxville, TN. In his younger years, he was owner/operator of Kings Service Station and wrecker service in Pine Knot, KY. He will be missed by many. He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help whenever he could. No matter the situation he would always say he had “lots to be thankful for.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Geneva King from Winfield, TN; his brothers, Clayton, JB, Ronnie and Dennis King; his granddaughter, Brittney Jacklene Strunk Foust; and great granddaughter, Miley Michelle King.

Jack is survived by his son, Wade (Cindy) King; daughter, Michelle (Roger) Strunk; grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) Reynolds, Shaun (Ashley) King and Dustin (Michelle) King; great grandkids, Abby and Lauren Reynolds, Jack and Drew King and Holston King, Jennings and Kru Jax Foust; brothers, David (Rochelle) King, Sam (Lois Ann) King, Joe Lynn King and Tony (Janie) King; sisters, Annarose (Dick) Sexton and Doris (Dana) Hulbirt; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the King family on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Winfield. Pallbearers will be: Kelvin King, Donnie Sexton, Vince Sexton, Sammy King, Denny King, and Luke King.
