James David (Jim) Reed

James David (Jim) Reed, age 66 of Glenmary, TN passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Tennova Hospital in Turkey Creek after a brief illness with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 17, 1958. Jim was a member of Highpoint Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Candace Reed; father, Stanley Reed; stepfather, Eugene Chambers; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Arthur (Bud) Gunter; brother-in-law, Steve Gunter; nephew, Steven Gunter; and sister-in-law, Linda Reed.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances Reed and his grandson, Tagen Reed of Glenmary, TN; mother, Evelyn Chambers of Oneida, brother and sister-in-law, Don and Renee Reed of Helenwood; special sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Larry Smarsh of Lancing, TN; special niece and nephew, Leighann and Jared Laymance of Lancing, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Reed family on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Byrd and Rev. Eli Crowley officiating. Music will be provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood. Family will serve as pallbearers.
