James Monroe Chambers Obituary

James Monroe Chambers, age 78 of Oneida, TN passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Waters of Clinton in Clinton, TN. Born in Scott County, TN on July 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Virgil and Bonnie Boyatt Chambers. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gordon King, Gaylon Chambers, and Bernard Chambers.

Monroe is survived by his sister, Trudy Brewster; nephews, Dennis (Michelle) and John Brewster and Jaco Chambers; niece, Cobie Terry; sister-in-law, Melda Jane King; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chambers family on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Neal officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Morris Goodman Cemetery in Oneida with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
