James Richard Harris

James ‘Jim’ Richard Harris, age 69, passed away at his home on May 4, 2024.  Born January 31, 1955, in Oneida, TN, he was the son of the late Robert and Verda Slaven Harris.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son:  Matthew Terry; and brother:  Bob Harris.

Jim is survived by his wife:  Brenda Kay Terry Harris; children:  Sean Harris, Rosemary Thompson and husband Aron both of Oneida; Matt Harris and wife Kacee of Allardt, TN, and Jamie Harris and wife Elizabeth Harris of Portsmouth, VA; grandchildren:  Jesse and Paige Thompson, Praylee (Harris) and Justin Hicks, Cloie (Thompson) and Logan Strunk, Caylen and Paige (Norris) Harris, Christa Harris, and Destiny (Harris) and Adrian Sexton, Eli Thompson, Justice Harris, Sullivan Harris, Jericho Harris, Jayden Harris, Nolan Harris Aiden Thompson, MacKenzie Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Holland Harris, Peyton Harris, Marlee Harris, Presley Harris, Magee Harris, Heavenleigh Harris and Xavier Harris; great grandchildren:  Greyson Strunk, MaRaelin Hicks, Kendalyn Thompson Ellie Strunk, Kolston Thompson, Cambryn Harris, Ari Hicks and Neylan Hicks; aunt:  Opal Phillips; nieces:  Missy Schmidt, Robin and David Shriner; and many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Harris family on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Following the visitation, Jim requested to be cremated.
