Janice Irene (Bell) Byrd

Janice Irene Bell Byrd, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Decatur Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, TN.  Born March 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Hurstle and Jane Mary Crabtree Bell, and was a member of the Macedonia Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband:  L. C. Byrd; sons:  Roger and Chris Byrd; grandsons:  George Strunk and Nathan Griffin.

Janice is survived by her son:  Lonnie Byrd; daughters:  Mary King, Sue Griffin (Jim), and DeAnna Byrd; grandkids:  Heather Adkins, Alisha Griffin, William Smallwood, Elizabeth Smallwood, Tylene Noe, Talisha, Tiffany, Dustin, Hailey, Mahalai and Gracie; as well as many other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Byrd family on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Larry Fults officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Brenda Chitwood, Pam Jones and Jordan Hughett.

Committal service will follow in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Jim Griffin, Jessie Adkins, Lonnie Byrd, Alice Norris, J. R. Norris and Tim Smith.
