Jann Ruth Lewis

Jann Ruth Lewis, age 69 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Huntsville Post-Acute and Rehab Center in Huntsville, TN.  Born October 19, 1956, in Somerset, KY, she was the daughter of the late Gerald C. Lewis and Glenna Helton Lewis Daugherty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father:  Gene Daugherty.

Jann is survived by her brother:  Jerry Lewis and wife Jonnie, nieces:  Mylon Simpson and husband Chris, and Leslie Pemberton (Wayne Jeffers); nephew:  Rian Lewis and wife Loretta; great nieces:  Sloane Pemberton (Jordan King), Kamea Lewis, Katie Simpson, and Keira Lewis; great-great nephews:  Walker and Kole King; special brother: Louis Boyatt; and special uncle:  Joe Helton; very special friends, beach sisters, and her classmates from 1974; as well as a host of other family members, friends and hundreds of students she taught over the years.

She enjoyed golf, reading, being with her friends, but most of all being with her family.

Friends may visit with Lewis family on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at Jones & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Sean Lee officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Marcy Thompson and John V. Thompson, Jr.

Following the service Jann will be interred in Sloans Valley Cemetery in Pulaski County, KY.
