Jannie B. Carson

Jannie Burress Carson, age 76 of Oneida, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2022.  Born February 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Virgie Burress of Oneida.

Jannie was the owner of Carson Budget Tires along with her late husband, Hollis Carson for over 30 years. She was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church in Oneida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Hollis Carson and sister, Jackie Carrington.

Jannie is survived by her two sons, Hollin Carson and wife Amy and Shane Chitwood and wife Stacey; one daughter, Holly Hood and husband Glen; one sister, Jonnie Lewis and husband Jerry; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit the Carson family on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Sean Lee officiating.  Music will be provided by John Vernon Thompson, Jr.

Graveside service will be conducted on Monday, November 14, at 1 p.m. in the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Hollin Carson, Shane Chitwood, Rian Lewis, Clarence Hughes, Jeff Hughes, and Joel Fields.
