Jerry Michael Phillips

Jerry Michael Phillips “Mikey,” age 43 of Helenwood, TN departed this life Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 28, 1982, in Jamestown, TN to the late Roger William Phillips and wife Wilma Jean Phillips. He was a member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Aulvon Franklin, Jr.; brother-in-law, Anthony Williams; two nephews, Austin Calvert and Michael Franklin, Jr.

Mikey is survived by his wife of 23 years, Michelle Phillips; two daughters, Amanda Gregg of Ohio and Chelsey Sexton and husband Holden Sexton; five grandchildren, Lillianna Anders, Braylyn Sexton, Bricen Sexton, Laker Sexton, and Aisley Sexton; one great granddaughter, Oaklynn Bilbrey; three brothers, Gary Phillips of Oneida, Larry Phillips and girlfriend Patty Wright of Ohio, Terry and Tracy Phillips of Corbin, KY; two sisters, Betty Jo Phillips of Oneida and Fayetta Phillips of Oneida; three nieces, Trish Phillips and wife Kaylee Phillips of Oneida, Olivia and Hannah Phillips of Ohio; three nephews, Tristen Jones, Larry Phillips, Jr., and Tommy Phillips of Ohio; and mother-in-law, Katherine Franklin of Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Tina Phillips and Angela Williams of Ohio; brother-in-law, Michael Franklin, Sr. and wife Adrienne Franklin; nephew, Michael B. Franklin and husband Travis Franklin and daughter Elizabeth Franklin, all of Ohio; nieces, Lisa Franklin and husband Joseph Lopez, Suzie and husband Brian Dudukovich, and Avalynn Dudukovich; nephews, Cash Mullins, Coy and Bentley Dudukovich, all of Ohio many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Quality Hospice Care, Brenda Smith and Renee and special thanks to his brother, Gary Phillips.

Friends may visit with the Phillips family on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jody Harness officiating. Music will be provided by Amazing Grace Church choir.

Committal service will follow in the Phillips Cemetery in Helenwood.
