Jerry Olson Perkins

Jerry Olson Perkins, age 73 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the University of TN Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born April 13, 1947 in Winfield, TN, he was the son of the late Carl and Della Stephens Perkins.

He attended Leatherwood Baptist Church, and was retired from Chrysler Corp. in New Castle, IN.  He was also a retired truck driver of 28 years.  Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers:  Eugene Perkins and wife Ann, Carl Perkins, Jr. and Jack Perkins; three sisters:  Blanche Strunk, Shirley Taylor and Irene Adkins; nephews:  Dustin Posey, Jason Adkins, Junior Adkins; nieces:  Charlotte Strunk Smith and Delores Adkins; and brother-in-law:  Ronald Free.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years:  Judy Neal Perkins; daughter:  Rhonda Perkins West and husband Chad; son:  Kevin Perkins; six grandchildren:  Christin Douglas and husband Logan, Chelsey West, Madi West, Raylin West, Lily West and Shane Perkins; three great grandchildren:  Emilee Douglas, Mason Douglas and Ella Douglas; sister:  Carolyn Clark and husband Carol; sisters-in-law:  Janet Free, Paula Tilley and husband Tim; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Jerry's request was cremation.

Friends may visit with the Perkins family on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Kidd and Bro. Rick Massengale officiating.  Music will be provided by the Chitwood singers.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
