Jimmie Dwayne (Jim) Strunk, age 76 of Winfield, TN, peacefully went to Heaven at his home on Jun 1, 2026. Born March 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Raymond and Blanche Perkins Strunk.
Jim was devoted to his forever love, Faye, for nearly 58 years, and their 5 children. He was born again on Halloween night 1964, and devoted nearly 50 years to preaching the gospel, pastoring several churches throughout the years, serving God, leading souls to Christ and mentoring young preachers. The love he had for his family was proven everyday of his life.
In addition to his parents and wife, Faye, Jim was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by many family member and friends whom he loved and longed to see, mainly his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; niece and nephew: Terrie and Phillip Stephens; his mother and father-in-law: Edward and Dorothy Stephens; sister: Charolette Smith; sister-in-law: Doris Jean (Welby) Martin; brothers-in-law: Fos (Sharon/Naomi) and Fred Stephens, Mitch Smith, Don Stephens, and Dan Reynolds, and aunts and uncles.
Jim is survived by daughters: Buffy (Wade) Cathers, Denise (Joe) Johnson, April Strunk and Rebekah Strunk; son: Scott (Mandy) Strunk; grandchildren: Nicholas (Samantha) Cathers, Dwayne Cathers, Tiffany (Jerico) Stephens, Zachery (Gracelyn) Chambers, Blake and Braeden Hubbard, David Strunk, Samantha (Matt) Phillips, Ezra Chambers, Sadie and Jael Jeffers; great grandchildren: Brantlee Chambers, Rallee and Deslee Stephens, Zaelyn and Aiden Chambers, Maddie Phillips, Waylon and Oakley Cathers; siblings: Almeda (Donnie), Norma, Deborah, Tom (Laurie), Valda (Steve), Lee (Michele), Bill (Jennifer), Bob (Kim), and Troy (Michelle); brother-in-law: Fenton (Theresa); sister-in-law: Melissa; and many nieces, nephews and uncles and aunts.
Jim worked very hard to take care of his family, whom he loved spending time with. He preached Salvation to and saw his family receive Christ. His heart’s desire was for the whole world to be in Heaven with him and his darlin’. We’ll see you in the morning. Love you bunches.
