Jimmy Ray Loyd, age 81 of Norma passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his home. Born in Loyd Mt., TN on January 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Marion and Lucille Lloyd. He was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frankie Lloyd, James Lloyd, and JC Lloyd; sister, Dorothy Kidd; daughter, Angela Lloyd; nephews, Randy Lowe and Ricky Lloyd.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie Loyd; sons, Benji Partin (Jo) and Jeff Lloyd (Marilyn); daughters, Marissa Toth and Lisa Lloyd; 10 grandkids; 20 great grandkids; 1 great-great grandkid; many other relatives and friends. The family gives special thanks to hospice nurse, Brenda Smith and Quality Home Hospice.
Friends may visit with the Loyd family on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 12 p.m. until time of Masonic service at 2 p.m. with funeral to follow at the Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Carlie Duncan, Bro. Dudley Harness, and Bro. Jeff Lloyd officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Singers and Ricky Sharpe.
Committal service will follow in the Rector Cemetery in the Norma community. Pallbearers will be: Jamey, Nicky, Gabe, Darren, Ricky, Zack, Brandon, and Little Jeff. Honorary pallbearers will be: Riley, Noah, Teresa, DJ, Ethan, Eugene, Billy, Vernon, Jeff, Sam, Kevin, Junior, Steve, Tammy, and Allen.
