Joann Byrge Obituary

Joann Pennington Byrge, age 65, was born in Oneida, TN on January 5, 1958, and departed this earth on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at her home with family by her side. She was a diehard Tennessee football fan that loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world. She lived a wonderful life until the Lord called her home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Pennington; aunt, Effie (Mami) Pennington; and sons, Gary Dwayne Pennington and James (Jimmy) Clifton Byrge.

Joann is survived by her sons, Bobby Joe Byrge and wife Amber Smith of Oneida, TN and Billy Joe Byrge and wife Veronica Byrge of Helenwood, TN; sister, Diane Bryant of Missouri; grandchildren, Brooklyn Smith, Elijah Byrge, Isaiah Byrge, Raelyn Brooks, Easton Babb, Benton Byrge, and Lilly Byrge; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 6 p.m. in the Pennington Family Cemetery in the Pine Hill community with Bro. Mike Manning officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
