Joanne Moro Thompson

Joanne Moro Thompson, age 81 of Jefferson City, MO, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO.  Born February 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Natali and Mary Moro.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband:  Clarence Jackson Thompson.

She is survived by her children:  sons, Lonnie Thompson, and Timothy Thompson and wife Hilde, both of Holts Summit, MO, and daughter, Melinda Cresap and husband Michael, Sr. of Oneida, TN; sisters:  Rosemary Heehn and husband Richard of Spokane, WA, and Janice Brady and husband James of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons:  Michael and Samantha Cresap of Oneida TN, Mark and Jazmine Cresap of Knoxville, TN, and Katherine Rose Thompson of Holts Summit, MO; as well as other family members and friends. 

Friends may visit with the Thompson family on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. with Father Albert Sescon officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.  

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.  Masks are required.
