Pastor B.R. Serving God was his life.  He made a commitment to serve God when he left the Army and never turned back.  He founded and pastored The Anointed Church of the Living God in Cincinnati for four years.  He came to Oneida TN in 1971 and pastored in several locations before building and establishing a church on Letner Rd. (The Anointed Church of the Living God).  There he preached and taught the word.  Many souls traveled through the church that have been trained to become great leaders. Pastor Johnson always wanted the children to be taught about the love of God and that was included in his mission statement.

One grandson Phillip Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 63 years, Shirley Moore Johnson.  His children: Eva Mayfield, Anita Phillips, Chris & Jerry Terry, John & Sheila Johnson, and Angel & Steve Hicks.  Three sisters: Inez Peters, Betty Lou Sizemore, Madge Sizemore.  grandchildren: Brad & Jennifer Mayfield, Jody & Mary Ann Mayfield, Stephen & Tia Mayfield, David & Jenica Mayfield, Charity & Dennis Byrd, Carissa & Chris Lowe, Rebecca & Stephen Pendergrass, Kenya Johnson, John & Brooke Terry, Monica Terry, Stacy & Chris Norwood, Corey & Danna Johnson, Brittney & Grant Sexton, John Franklin Johnson, Jessica & Chance Terry, Ashley & Shannon Anderson, and Steven & Rachel Hicks. 36 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  And many nieces and nephews.
