June Ross Obituary
June Cross Ross, age 88, of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center in Oneida. Born September 25, 1935, in Helenwood, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alicia Newport Cross. June was saved at an early age and she was a member of the Stephens Baptist Church in Wartburg, TN where her husband Harold Dean was a pastor for 35 years.
In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband: Harold Dean ‘Preacher’ Ross; grandparents: Ellard and Laura Della Newport and George and Lily Cross; sisters: Wilma Phillips and husband Harry, and infant sister: Joann Cross; brother: George Cross and wife Ann.
June is survived by: special friend and love of her life: Charles Keifer ‘Honey Bun’ Goad; her daughter: Kimberly Kidd and husband Phillip; granddaughters: Christin and husband Nicholas Neal and Brooke and husband Jeremy West; great grandchildren: Sophia Brooklynn West, and Annalisa Claire West; brother: Edward and Ann Cross; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
The committal service will follow in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood, TN. Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Neal, Jeremy West, Jon Arnold, Mike Phillips, Melvin Kidd, Steve Young, and Jeff Jeffers.
