Kathleen E. (Boshears) Burke

Kathleen E. Boshears Burke, age 85, of Oneida, TN, departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at her home.  She was born May 16, 1940, in Norma, TN, to the late Ed and Nora Day Boshears.  

Kathleen enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping and riding in the canoe while fishing.  She belonged to Bethalonia United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. D. Burke; sister:  Judy Boshears Smith; sisters-in-law:  Patsy and Ann Boshears; brothers-in-law:  Floyd and Ray Hatfield; in-laws:  Lewis Burke (Geraldine), Howard Burke (Lena), T. L. Burke (Alene); Crestin Burke, Mitchell Burke (Wilda), Ovia Burk (Bernis), Ester Burke (Dorothy) Connie Terry (Cal), Dorothy (Woodrow) Marcum, Alice Hamby (Herman), Odell Williams, Arnold Boyatt, and Tena Burke; father and mother-in-law:  W. H. and Rilda Burke.

Kathleen is survived by her son:  Randy Burke (Lisa); daughter:  Katrina Goodman (Jason); grandchildren:  Sierra (Henry), Dakota, Lexie, Ashley, Jeremy, Andie, Sydney and Tucker; great grandchildren:  Abbie, Allie, Annalie, Noah and Levi; brothers:  Paul Boshears, Junior Boshears (Jennifer), Gary Boshears (Carrol) and Curtis Boshears (Linda); sisters:  Geneva Hatfield; Loretta Hatfield, Bonnie Murley (Johnny) and Janetta Davis (Ted); brothers-in-law:  Junior Smith, Jessie Burke (Kay) and Lester Burke (Brenda); sisters-in-law:  Menda Williams and Elizabeth Boyatt; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Burke family on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Crestin Jeremy Burke officiating.  Music will be provided by Victory Bluegrass Singers.

Committal service will follow in the West Cemetery in the Station Camp Community.  Pallbearers will be:  Chad Hatfield, Danny Boshears, Keith Murley, Gary Boshears, Austin Pemberton and Allen Anderson.
