Kenny Gibson

Kenny Ray Gibson, age 53 of Huntsville, TN passed into the Lord’s arms peacefully at the Big South Fork Medical Center on Tuesday evening, September 10, 2024. 

Kenny was raised on Winona Road and spent his life doing what he loved, even when he worked. He spent time in the coal mines and around 15 years welding at a now shut down plant in Clinton. He worked hard to build a house for his family and take care of them. He was so proud to pass along his knowledge of life. He was a loving father, brother, friend and so much more to those who knew him.

Kenny spent his last few weeks surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, laughs, dreams, and chocolate milkshakes.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Marion and Hazel Goad and Ermon and Marie Gibson; his father, Bobby Gibson.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Rena Gibson; siblings, Patricia Lay and Bobby Gibson; children, Makayla Gibson and Kendrick Gibson; stepchildren, Ashley Johnson and Mariah Griffith; grandchildren, Oaklynn Hart, Raiden Gibson, Jensen Gibson, Korbin Gibson, Suri and Jaci Griffith, Amayah and Memphis Johnson, Nova Kinnet, and Marley Griffith; special friend, Denise Lowe; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Gibson family on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. James Pennington officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Cook Cemetery in the Winona community. Pallbearers will be: Blake Newport, Tommy Fitzgerald, Noah Lowe, Toby Lowe, Houston Gibson, and Anthony Lay.
