Lennis I. Adkins

Lennis I. Adkins, age 68, of Winfield, TN passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his home. Born in Oneida, TN on June 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Herman and Ocie Stephens Adkins.

Lennis loved playing Bluegrass music with family and friends at family dinners and reunions. He loved Jeepin with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Philip Lance Burchfield.

Lennis is survived by sisters, Charlotte Crabtree and husband Dudley, Fay Adkins, Marietta Bowling and husband Tony; brother, Bruce Adkins and Rhonda; nieces and nephews, Vanessa Gray and husband Scott, Devin Crabtree and wife Korri, Adam Douglas and wife Rachel, Anthony Adkins; great nieces and nephews, Logan, Lily, Courtney, Payton, Colton, Josilynn, Elaina, Adysan, Braleigh, and Casen; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Adkins family on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Adkins Cemetery in Winfield. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be: Tony Bowling.
