Leroy Wayne Dennis, Jr.

Leroy Wayne Dennis, Jr., age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at his home in Winfield, TN, with his loved ones by his side, after a battle with cancer.  Born December 26, 1945, in Canton, OH, he was the son of the late Leroy W., Sr. and Mary Jane Dennis.

Leroy loved cooking and gardening.  He had a green thumb.  Above all, he was a proud husband, daddy, grumpa and pop-pop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter:  Savannah Miller; great grandson:  Judah Free; brother:  Robert ‘ Bobby’ Dennis, sister-in-law:  Shirley Dennis; cousin:  Brenda Meadows; special friend:  Richard Free; and his dogs:  Buddy and Bear; and cat, Katy.

Leroy is survived by his wife:  Emma Dennis; brothers:  Richard, Paul (Pam), and Thomas (Judy); daughters:  Shauna (Stephen) Vaughn, and Beth League, both of TN; son:  Michael Thole of OK; grandchildren:  Sierra (Talon) Free, and Austin (Emily) of TN, Sara (and fiancé Jake) of DelMar, MD, Daniel of TN, and Mikey, and Laci of OK; 16 great grandchildren; special friend:  Craig Free; and many other loving family members and friends.  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to nurses:  Brenda Smith and Renea; and aide Ashley.

His wishes were cremation.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
