Lon E. Cloyd

Lon E. Cloyd, age 71 of Robbins, TN passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 27, 1951, in Frankfort, KY to the late John and Elsie (Barber) Cloyd. Lon has lived in Robbins, TN for the last 27 years. He also lived in Muncie, Indiana for years before moving to Tennessee. He worked for Exide Battery in Muncie, Indiana before he relocated to Tennessee where he worked at Armstrong Flooring. He was an awesome husband, father, grandpa, uncle, friend, and just a great guy. He enjoyed being in the company of his family and friends sitting on the front porch. He also loved spending time with his beloved wife, Barbara. He also was a 100% believer in God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Asheley; sister, Alma G. Stader; and brother, Scott Cloyd.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Epperson) Cloyd; sons, Lonnie Edward Cloyd, Jr., Jason Scott Cloyd (Patricia); one daughter, Angela Jean Cloyd (Michael), all of Robbins, TN; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Johnnie Cloyd of Kentucky; sisters, Brenda Ralstin (Richard) and Jenny Dillion, both from Indiana; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

A public Celebration of Lon’s Life will be announced at a later date.
