Luverna 'Lou' Hall Obituary

Luverna “Lou” Sexton Hall, age 65, of Oneida, TN, went home to the Lord on February 5, 2025, peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Born in Scott County, TN, on February 25, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Maude Mae Ford Sexton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Dottie Sexton and husband Lawrence Sexton, Margaret Anderson and husband Charles Anderson, Gladys Smith and husband Leon Smith, and Laura Lay; along with her brothers: Milford Sexton, Bob Sexton, and James “Buddy” Sexton and wife Faye Sexton.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Oliver “Doc” Hall, and their daughter, Loutina Hall Fairchild; her cherished granddaughters, Faith Day and her husband, Nicholas Day, and Destiny Fairchild and her partner, Dillon Strunk; her sister, Artie Lewallen; her brother, Donald Lee Sexton; her brother-in-law, Steve Hall, and his wife, Mary Hall. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Lou was dedicated to her fur babies, both living and passed, and she enjoyed serving the community through MBRTV and Helping Hands. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart, rich sense of humor, and giving spirit.

Friends may visit with the Hall family on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Reynolds officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Junior and Doris Potter.

Burial will follow in the Scott Memorial Gardens in Oneida, TN. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Chris Sexton, Robbie Sexton, Dennis Anderson, Lee Sexton, Shannon Chitwood, and Nicholas Day. Honorary Pallbearer: Donald Lee Sexton.
