Marietta Lewallen Obituary

Marietta McGlothlin Lewallen age 64 of Oneida TN, wife of Tim Lewallen for 47 years, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1st at the North Knoxville Medical Center. She was born on November 10, 1959, in Beech Grove, Indiana and was the daughter of Florietta Arthur and the late John McGlothlin. She was a long-time member of West Oneida United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son Jonathan Lewallen (her baby boy), Father John McGlothlin, Grandparents George and Ova York, Mother-in-Law Dolly Bowling, brother-in-law Tony Lewallen, father-in-law Ray Cross, brother-in-law Bobby Cross, and sister-in-law Debbie Lowe.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Tim Lewallen, daughters Crystal Lewallen and Michelle Lewallen, son TJ Lewallen and wife Tish, Rachel Goodman and husband Jason, Scott Lewallen, and David “DJ” Lewallen. Grandchildren Hiley Lewallen, Maya and Braylee Lewallen, Jayci Perry, and Natalie Rogers. Mother Florietta Arthur and husband Kenny, Brothers George McGlothlin and wife Debbie, John McGlothlin and wife Debbie, Terry McGlothlin and wife Veronica, and one sister Diane Spaulding and husband Dave. Stepmother in law, Edna Cross, sisters in law Lori Sexton and husband Jack, Melanie Ellis, Lisa Webb and husband Darrell, brothers in laws Kenneth Cross and wife Ruby, Bill Bowling and wife Robin.

She enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, Tim, and her precious children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, and when younger she enjoyed sports, playing softball and was an avid TN VOL fan. Marietta spent many years running the JrPro association where she coached, mentored and loved many of Scott County’s youth. Marietta loved her family above all, and she absolutely loved life. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Friends may visit with the Lewallen family on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. 

The funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Webb officiating. Burial service will follow and will be held at Black Creek Cross Roads Church cemetery in Robbins, TN.
