Marion (M.C.) Gore

Marion Carlton (M.C.) Gore, age 86, departed this life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center. Marion was the son of the late Marion Carson Gore and Carley Blevins Gore. He attended the Helenwood Baptist Church in Oneida, Tennessee. Marion was a devout Christian man and loved his Lord and Savior.

Marion retired from the United States Marine Corp of 20 years. He retired from the U.S Postal Service of 20 years as well.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Gore, and his brother, Harold Gore.
 
Marion is survived by his brother, David M. Gore, Atlanta GA, and his sister, Judy Mueller from Indianapolis, IN along with 5 nieces and 2 nephews, five sisters-in-law, Maxie Overton of Robbins, Maudia Ellis of Florence Ky, Zelma Tate of Huntsville, Margie Williams of Dayton, Ohio, and Bonnie Lawson of Robbins.

Friends may visit with the Gore family on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at the Helenwood Baptist Church (235 Main Street, Helenwood, TN) with Bro. David Barnhouse officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Robbins. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
