Mark John Strunk

Mark John Strunk, age 48 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born in Fort Rucker, Alabama on September 20, 1971, he was the son of Betty Strunk of Helenwood, TN and Charles (Pete) Strunk of Rincon, GA.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dallas Rose Newport and Aline Strunk; grandfather, Ernest Newport; and aunt, Francis Perry.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his brother, David Strunk of Helenwood, TN; children, Samantha Strunk Myer of Sevierville, TN and Zachery Strunk of Huntsville, TN; granddaughter, Hunter Chase; cousins, Joe Reed of Florida and Vickie Bowling of Robbins, TN; 2 stepbrothers, Scott and Stephen Walton; stepsister, Amber Walton; nephew, Tyler Strunk of Oneida; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Strunk family on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smithers officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Sexton Cemetery in Elgin. Pallbearers will be: Michael Seabolt, Joe Reed, Tyler Strunk, Dalton Terry, William Sexton and Paul James.
