Martin H. King, Jr.

Martin H. King, Jr. age 69, Oneida, TN, of passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born on April 19, 1953, Martin was the son of the late Martin and Hattie L. Slaven King.

In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his sisters: Monine Upchurch, Joyce Morris, and Nora Duncan; brothers: Thomas, Dubby, Anthoney, Kirby, Elihu, Lauton, and Curtis King.

Martin is survived by his son: Jerry Phillips; daughter: Carrie King Lowe; sisters: June (Harold) Zimmer of Cincinnati, OH, and Mary Watson of OH; brothers: Marion (Sandra) King of Whitley City, KY, Charles (Darlene) King of Oneida, TN, and Henry (Kathy) King of Abington, VA; grandkids: Justice, Alexis, Megan, Zoey, Devin and Miracle; special friend: Willard West; as well as other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the King family on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Charlie Golden officiating.

Committal service will follow in the King Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Justice Duncan, T. J. Duncan, Jake Duncan, Wes, Duncan, Charles Kings, Jr., and Willard West.  Honorary Pallbearer will be:  Tim Duncan.
