Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Posey

Mary Elizabeth Davis Posey, age 76, of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Medical Center in Somerset, KY.  Born March 6, 1948, in Jamestown, TN, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Davis and Lily Daugherty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers:  James, Charles, John, Eugene, Harry, and Freddie; sisters:  Janice, Eva, Carolyn and Virginia; and her life partner: Mike Barger.

Mary is survived by a loving family:  daughter:   Sheila Pemberton and husband Archie; son:  Dale Posey and wife Whitney; daughter:  Beth Posey and Fiancé Orlando; grandchildren:  Stephen Boles and wife Jessica, Miranda Boles, Kelsey Posey and wife Sairah Jo, Savannah Young, Peyton Young, and Darrian Pemberton; thirteen great grandchildren; brother-in-law:  Charlie Buttram; nephew:  Nathan Barger; as well as other family members and friends.

Mary’s life was marked by her deep connections with her family and friends, and she will be profoundly missed by those who loved her.

Friends may visit with the Posey family on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Stevie Laxton officiating.  Music will be provided by Jamie King.

Committal service will follow in the Scott Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
