Mary Katherine Armstrong, age 59 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her home. Born October 8, 1962, in Carmi, IL, she was the daughter of the late Rae and Lucille Trammell Armstrong. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida. She loved her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She loved helping with children, whether at church, or when she was an aide at Oneida Schools, or just babysitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Albertia (Bert) and Mary Trammell, and Corrie and Leda Armstrong; brother: Rod Armstrong; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Mary is survived by her sister: Debbie Allen and husband Craig; brothers: Brian Armstrong and wife Rosie, and Steve Armstrong and wife Kathy; sister-in-law: Beth West Armstrong; nieces: Renae Vaughn and husband Travis, Amanda Terry and husband Jared, Kelsey Armstrong, Ashley Armstrong, and Sidney Newport and husband Travis; nephews: Daniel Armstrong and wife Susie, Lee Armstrong, Ryan Allen and wife Karen, Brandon Allen and wife Ariel, and Newell Armstrong; great nieces and nephews: Sierra, Katelyn, Jayden, Taylor, Kaleb, Ily, Sarah, Kaden, Dylan, Ashlyn, Luke, Haddy, Phoenix, Declan, Briley, Sadie, Kacie, Mia, Jensen, Easton, Rafe, Scottie, Jeremy and Reilly; special friend: Beth Burchfield Armstrong; and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Armstrong family on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee and Bro. Sean Lee officiating. Music will be provided by Charles Goad.
Committal service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Carson Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Armstrong, Newell Armstrong, Lee Armstrong, Brandon Allen, Ryan Allen, Travis Vaughn, Jared Terry and Travis Newport.
