Mary Pauline Ross

Mary Pauline Ross, 85, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was born November 2, 1935 in Robbins, TN to Henry Clarence and Cassie Robbins Ross.  Mary lived in Powell, TN and Karns, TN. 

Mary spent her career working in the Accounting Department and retired in 1994 from Martin Marietta Energy Systems in Oak Ridge, TN.  She had previously served as head of the Y-12 accounting and budget department.  Mary was a very dedicated and hard worker and received several company awards for outstanding service.

Since Mary attended the University of Tennessee, she was a big Lady Vols Basketball fan and a Tennessee Vols Football Fan. She attended Lady Vols home games.  She loved working outside with her flowers and yard.   

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Clarence Ross, Jr., and half-brothers, Oscar Ross, Earl Ross, and Ralph Ross.   

Mary is survived by a very special friend for 61 years, Lloyd Youngblood of Knoxville, TN; niece Shari Chaffin (David, Zachary, Donovan) of Dayton, OH; nephew Scott and Crystal Ross (AJ, Brayden) of Independence, KY; sister-in-law, Sheila Chilton of Dayton, OH; special first cousin, Mary Jo Strunk (husband Lonnie) of Knoxville, TN. 

Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 12 Noon at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, TN.  Weatherford Mortuary is handling the arrangements.  An online guestbook can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
