Mattie C. Smith, age 91 of Oneida, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. Born on February 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Iva Bonds and W.A. Whitehead.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip C. Smith and other relatives.
Mattie is survived by her son, Robert W. Smith and wife Patricia; grandkids, Katie Beth (John) Drew, William Smallwood, Jr., Robert E. Smallwood; great grandkids; William Smallwood, III (Katie), Dorian S. Smallwood, John R. Smallwood, Harmony Smallwood, Bowen Smallwood, Embry Smallwood, Addison Drew, and Taylor Drew; many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Smith family on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Duvall officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Carson Memorial Park in Oneida. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
