Melinda Kay Daugherty

Melinda Daugherty, age 59 of Helenwood, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Tennova Medical Center LaFollette, TN. She was born April 1, 1962 in Scott County.  She was the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Doris Ann Byrge Daugherty.  She loved her children with all her heart.  She will be missed by all who knew her.                        

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant grandson Steven Ryan Crabtree and brother-in-law Marlin Kidd.  

She is survived by her three children, Kesha Crabtree and husband Steven, Natasha Cross and fiancé Shawn Greaves, Felicia Bowling and husband Derek; grandchildren: Logan and Sophia Crabtree, Simon and Everett Bowling, Jamie, Mason, Colton, and Harlee Greaves; siblings: special brother Eddie (Tiny) Daugherty, Peggy Kidd, Clyde (Lenita) Daugherty, and Ronald (Daisy) Daugherty, and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Daugherty family on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. David Brewster officiating.  Music will be provided by Jimmy Byrd.

Committal will follow in the Slick Rock Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
