Melinda "Missie" Kidd

Melinda “Missie” Kidd, age 52 of Oneida, TN, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born on May 19, 1968 in Muncie, Indiana. Missie was a very generous woman with the biggest heart. She was a member of Sandhill United Baptist Church in Whitley City, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Ledbetter and Patricia Taylor, and stepfather, Delbert Taylor; sisters, Melanie Hill and Sonya Fulton; and brother, Lynn Ledbetter.

Missie is survived by her husband, Dennis Kidd; daughters, Lindsey Ellis and husband Josh Ellis and Kendra Sparks and husband Jonathan Sparks; grandchildren, Memphis Ellis, Lucas Ellis, Tayven Sparks, Ava Ellis, and Barrett Sparks; sisters, Michelle Lehman and Amanda Taylor; brothers, Scott Ledbettter, Josh Ledbetter and wife Crystal Ledbetter; stepmother, Linda Ledbetter; along with many other loved family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Kidd family on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Jones officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery in the Leatherwood community.
