Melissa Nicole (Davis) Pemberton

Melissa Nicole Davis Pemberton, age 47 of Huntsville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her home.  Born in Oneida, Scott County, TN, on April 19, 1979, she was the daughter of Ted and Janetta Davis.  

Melissa was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.  She had a caring heart and loved to help everyone as much as she could.  She enjoyed fishing, cloud watching, playing the piano, singing, and working in her flowers.  She had a special place in her heart for her gran pup Duke, whom she loved to play with and spoil.  In her work as a nurse, she greatly impacted each patient she cared for.

She was preceded in death by her late husband:  Shane Pemberton; grandparents:  Edward and Nora Boshears, and Ralph and Gertie Davis; mother-in-law:  Donna Sexton; aunts: Kathleen Burke and husband JD, and Linda Boshears; special aunt:  Judy Smith; and uncles:  Ray and Floyd Hatfield.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Kamryn Pemberton and fiancé Austin; aunts and uncles:  Junior Boshears and wife Jennifer, Paul Boshears and wife Valerie, Bonnie Murley and husband Johnny, Geneva Hatfield, Loretta Hatfield, Curt Boshears, Gary and Carol Boshears, Junior Smith, and Marilyn Sue Harness; brother-in-law:  Scott Pemberton and wife Christy; many special cousins and close friends whom she loved dearly.

Friends may visit with the Pemberton family on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Ray Jeffers and Bro. Greg Overton officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Sarah Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be:  Austin Pemberton, Scott Pemberton, Chad Hatfield, Keith Murley, Danny Boshears and Jody Day.
