Obituary
Michael Ray Chitwood, age 60, of Winfield, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born April 12, 1962, Michael was the son of Archie and the late Etta Chitwood of Winfield, TN. Michael was a loving father and papaw.
In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by his wife: Gayla Doris Chitwood; brother: James Chitwood.
In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his daughter: Christy and husband Steve Sheffield of Oneida, TN; son: Jason Robert Chitwood of Winfield, TN; four grandchildren: Brandon Frazier, Jason Michael Chitwood, Madison Stringer, and Aaliyah Paige Chitwood; sister: Kim and husband Bob Strunk of Winfield, TN; special niece: Keesha Posey Blevins and many other family members and friends.
Michael will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Friends may visit with the Chitwood family on Sunday July 31, 2022, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield, TN. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
