Michael Ashton Stephens

Michael Ashton Stephens, age 21, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky with his loving family at his side. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Art and Gail Woods and Janet Coker.

Ashton, the son of Tony Stephens and Michella Woods Stephens, was born May 16, 2003. He is survived by his father and mother; five brothers: Joseph and Leah Stephens of Corbin, KY, Dustin and Shelby Stephens of Huntsville, TN, Christian Stephens of Estill Springs, TN, Nicholas and Brooke Stephens of Eastlake, OH, and Eeyan Ellis of Winfield, TN; two sisters: Lindsey Jones of Lexington, KY and Marrisa Stephens of Somerset, KY; grandparents Morris and Bonnie Stephens of Winfield and Joyce Chitwood of Winfield; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Ashton made a profession in Christ at an early age and was baptized as a member of the Pleasant Grove United Baptist Church in Winfield. He worked in both construction and concrete and was adept at all else he set his mind to. He had a wonderful sense of humor, eclectic tastes, and was a talented musician. 

Friends may visit with the Stephens family on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 12:00 noon until time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. Brandon Braydon officiating.  Music will be provided by the Chitwood Boys.

Committal service will follow in the family burial plot at the Stephens Family Cemetery in the Isham community.
