Obituary
Milford Paul Parnell, age 91, of Knoxville (Halls Crossroads), passed away peacefully Friday, July 21, 2023.
At the age of 18, he joined the Navy and was proud to serve during the Korean War. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and actively served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He learned to fly a plane in his 40’s and loved drifting through the clouds with friends and family. Paul was a devoted husband and loving father and loved to make people laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Vesta Parnell as well as five sisters and three brothers.
He leaves behind his wife of 69 years, June Parnell and his daughter, Joyce Parnell as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral service 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, Reverend Joseph Williams, officiating. The family will receive friends following service. Family and friends may meet 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Carson Memorial Park, Oneida, TN for a graveside service. Online condolences may be sent to www.mynattfh.com.
