Minda 'Faye' (Reynolds) McDonald

Minda Faye Reynolds McDonald, age 82, of Scott County, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late T.O. and Cordelia Stanley Reynolds.

While Faye wore many titles throughout her life, "Mom" and "Mamoo" were the ones she cherished most. Above all, Faye was a woman of unwavering faith whose love for the Lord guided her throughout her life. She lived by example, demonstrating kindness, compassion, humility, and grace to all who knew her. Her devotion to God was evident in the way she loved and cared for her family, who were among her greatest blessings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Freddie Reynolds.

Faye is survived by her husband of 66 years, Miller "Buddy" McDonald; son, Johnny (Donna) McDonald; daughter, Judy Whaley; grandchildren, Haley McDonald, Tara (Mike) Leingang, Torey McDonald, Christa (Zeke) Gray, and Olivia Whaley; sister, Joann Adkins; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Timothy, Ziya, Melody, Caide, Theodore, Ceaton, and Owen.  In addition to her beloved family, she leaves behind many cherished friends and extended loved ones. 

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Janet Claxton, Dr. Timothy Smith, Mickey Flint, Brenda Smith, and Kathy Armstrong, for their compassionate care, kindness, and support.

Friends may visit with the McDonald family on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jim West officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Jimmy and Sarah Byrd.

Committal service will follow in Carson Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be:  Torey McDonald, Mike Leingang, Zeke Gray, Joey Bri, Ron McDonald and Don McDonald.
