Nancy Cantrell

Nancy Byrge Cantrell, age 79, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 3, 2026, at home. Born November 15, 1946, in Lake City, TN to the late Rev. Lonzy and Margie Massengale Byrge.

She loved to cook and read and being with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 58 yrs Rev. Dolphia Cantrell and one daughter, Ruth Marie Wright.

She is survived by her son and caregiver, John Matthew Cantrell of the Cherry Fork Community; one grandson, Joshua Cross and wife Yvonne of the Black Creek Community in Robbins, TN; 4 great grandchildren; one sister, Vickie Byrge Shank of Enon, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deletha (Glen) Blevins of Huber Heights, Ohio, Jenny (Bernie) Hamilton of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Charlotte Eyler of Waynesville, Ohio, Donna (Donald) Null of Fairborn, Ohio; three brothers, Ollie Jim (Wanda) of Nancy, Kentucky, John Tollie (Cheryl) of Seaman, Ohio and Wallace Lee (Teresa) of Augusta, Georgia; and many other family members and friends.

We would like to thank the staff of Grace Primary and Mrs. Brenda Smith, Rena and Hospice of Jamestown and many others that helped with Mrs. Nancy.

Friends may visit with the Cantrell family on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by Dakota and Kansas Phillips.

Committal service will be on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 12 p.m. in the Cecil Cemetery in Helenwood. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
