Naomi Ellis

Naomi Smithers Ellis of West Robbins, TN went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, November 13, 2023, at her home. She was 84 years old. Born in Scott County, TN on May 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Arlene Smithers. She was a member of West Robbins Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ellis; sister, Evelyn Perry; brother, Sonny Smithers; and brother-in-law, Charles “Troy” Perry.

Naomi is survived by her sons, Sonnie “Ray” (Angie) Ellis of the West Robbins Community and Reese (Joyce) Ellis of Grimsley, TN; daughter, Teresa (Randy) Poe of Jamestown, TN; sisters, Kathy Romans of the West Robbins Community and Katie (Steve) King of the West Robbins Community; grandchildren, Justin Brawner, Christopher Houser, Jeremy Houser, Joshua Allen Ellis and wife Lindsey, Joshua Curtis Daniels, Jacob Ellis, and Christina Taylor and husband Zachery; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

At Naomi’s request, there will be a graveside service which will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Kilbeck Cemetery with Bro. Brian Strunk and Bro. Robert Freels officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
