Nathan E. Abbott

Nathan E. Abbott, age 62 of Oneida, TN passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Scott County, TN on May 31, 1961, he was the son of Acmon and Esther Blevins Abbott.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Artie Abbott, Mary Elizabeth (Chambers) Abbott, Bertha Bell Abbott, Noah Blevins and Bonnie (Huckeby) Blevins.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jackie Abbott (Patricia); sister, Tippie A. Younce (Tony); nieces and nephews, Sarah A. Shepherd (Derek), Alisha Shoemaker, Alex Abbott (Cassie), Ty Younce (Kara), and Tia Johnson (Lee); nurses, Tiffany Anderson, Ledford Harness; special nurse, Brenda Smith; caregivers, Angelina Slaven, Stacy Lewallen, Kaylee Myers, Savannah Terry, Kayla Crabtree, Sherry Dobbs, Stella Cooper, Carlesa Stewart; special friend, Judy Laxton; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Abbott family on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Porter Mayberry officiating. Music will be provided by Irene and Thea Chitwood.

Committal service will follow in the Abbott Family Cemetery in the Pine Hill community. Pallbearers will be: Tony Younce, Ty Younce, Ronnie Cooper, Darrin Porter, Ledford Harness, and Mitch Hamilton.
