Nitalee Byrge DeWeese Wilson, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Sevierville Health and Rehab Center in Sevierville, TN. Born November 29, 1948, in Robbins, Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Paul and Flira Mildrige (Bowling) Byrge. She was a member of the Slick Rock Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Nitalee was preceded in death by her husband: Artist Paul Wilson; sister: Anna Ruth Byrge Ipock and husband Oliver; half-brother: Jimmy Ray Walker; nephew: Patrick Byrge; great nephew: Kaleb Byrge; and twin great nieces: Mariah Lea and Laura Victoria Byrge.
Nitalee is survived by her children: Tommy Joe (Denise) DeWeese, Brian Paul (Rayanne) DeWeese, Stephanie Wilson, and Travis Wilson; grandchildren: Taylin DeWeese, Brianna DeWeese, and Carter Amos; brothers and sisters: Eddie Wayne (Cammie) Byrge, Fredda Carol (Wayne) Smith, Billy Joe (Linda) Byrge, Wanda Paulette Byrge, John David (Elaine) Byrge, Mary Rozella (Perry) Griffith, Jerry Wade (Janet) Byrge, and Cheryl Elaine Campbell Abney; as well as many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Wilson family on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Byrge officiating. Music will be provided by: Bridget Bowling, Diana Richardson, Jerry Byrge and Freddie Lowe.
Committal service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Slick Rock Cemetery in the Brimstone Community of Robbins, TN.
