Norma Voiles Obituary

Norma Jean Tucker Voiles, wife of Amon Voiles, age 76 of Oneida, TN passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by family and friends. Born in Wayne County, KY on September 8, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Opal (Foster) Tucker.

She was a member of Macedonia Christian Center. Her treasures in life were working for the Lord including working on the construction of the church building. She also enjoyed her family and games, Aggravation, cornhole, and especially bowling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, J. Howard Tucker; brother, Bobby D. Tucker; sisters, Glenna Tucker and Mildred Singleton; and stepdaughter, Ammie Roderick.

She is survived by her husband, Amon Voiles; daughters, Tonya and husband Russell Jones of Stearns, KY, Freda and husband Bobby Strunk of Helenwood, TN; grandchildren, Brent and Ashley Jones, Mark Lay, and Erin and Tommy Richardson; great grandchildren, Ellie and Allie Jones, Tyson Miller, Kayden and Keegan Crummie; step-grandchild, Jacob Roderick; brothers, Junior Tucker and wife Diana, Ray Tucker and wife Carol, Kirby Tucker and wife Liz of Monticello, KY, Clyde Tucker and wife Jane, Leonard Tucker and wife Billie of Muncie, IN, Clifford Tucker and wife Dixie of Somerset, KY; sisters, Christine Harvey, Hazel Butler and husband Rick of Lexington, KY and Wanda Steppes of Oneida, TN; two of the best friends and caregivers, Hazel Butler and Lois Harness; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Blessed in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Friends may visit with the Voiles family on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Christian Center with Bro. Randall Duncan officiating. Music will be provided by the Macedonia Christian Center choir.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be her six brothers: Junior Tucker, Ray Tucker, Clyde Tucker, Kirby Tucker, Leonard Tucker, and Clifford Tucker.
