Odis Hicks Obituary

Odis Lee Hicks, age 75 of Helenwood, TN, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the St. Elizabeth Florence Hospital in Florence, KY. Born in Oneida, TN on June 17, 1944, he was the son of Flaura Byrd.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Flaura Byrd and siblings: Anna Strunk, Essie Silcox, Jack Hicks and Billy Joe Byrd.

Odis is survived by his siblings: G.W. Hicks, George Hicks, Earl Hicks (Joan) and Shirley Massengale (Jerry); children: Lee Hicks, Chris Hicks, Jerrie Vitatoe and Craig Hicks (Brittany); grandchildren: Christa Hicks, Ricky Deangelis, Elizabeth Vitatoe, Tiffany Garnett (Callum), Isabella Vitatoe, Caisen Hicks and Aria Hicks; great grandchildren: Judah Maye, Cecilia Deangelis, Ezekiel Deangelis, Eden Mobley and Giovanni Vitatoe; special friends: Bonnie Jackson, Donnie Jackson, Skyler Jackson, Alex Jackson, Angel Henson, Gage Jones and Dwight Human; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Massengale and Bro. Tim Hicks officiating. A full military honors service will be provided by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.
