Pamela Gay (Smith) Day, age 66, of Winfield, TN, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born April 6, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Sherman Smith and Beulah Burke Smith. She was a member of the Norma Missionary Baptist Church.
Pam was a dedicated LPN and loved working as a nurse for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and quilting with her friends at the senior center; and she also loved watching TN Football.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her first husband: Charles King. sisters: Judy Duncan, Sue Trammel and Shonda Mayfield.
Pam is survived by her husband: Jamie Day; daughter: April King Newport and husband Benny; son: George King and wife Brandi of Winfield; grandchildren: Karlie Newport, Jaden Stephens, Charles King, and Kingston Newport; step-daughter: Marcie Smith; brother: Mitchell Smith and wife Jenny; and many other family members and friends.
Friends may visit with the Day family on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until time of the Eastern Star Service at 6:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Bro. James Pennington and Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Music will be provided by Dustin and Rebecca Pennington.
Committal service will follow in the Sherman Smith Family Cemetery in Winfield, TN.
