Pamela Grace (Barnes) Jeffers

Pamela Grace Barnes Jeffers, age 71 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born August 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Herman Barnes and Alphene and Jay Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister:  Wilma Stephens; sister-in-law:  Sue Barnes; brothers-in-law:  Junior Sexton, David Duncan, Roy Reagan, Bill Byrd, Jim Jeffers (Mary), and Bill Jeffers; nieces and nephews:  Gary Chambers, Scott Stephens and Hope Sexton; and her second husband:  Melvin Slaven.

Pam is survived by her husband:  Robert Jeffers:  children:  Tammy Carson (Dana), Tim Phillips (Tobey), Shane Phillips (Danielle), Cody Slaven, Robert W. Jeffers and Matthew Jeffers; grandchildren:  Carter Miller (McKenzie), Kylie Miller, Jarrett Lay (Harley), Jaelyn Phillips,  Taylor Neal (Eddie), Dallan Phillips (Macey) and Darcie Phillips; great grandchildren:  Jagger Morgan, Aniston Morgan, Parker Lay, Paisyn Lay, Cartlie Miller, Tucker Neal, and new grandbaby arriving in August; brothers and sisters:  Dean Barnes (Marsha), Barbara Sexton, Denzil Barnes (Patsy), Tony Barnes, Glennis Reagan and Jayetta Sexton;  brother-in-law:  Lee Jeffers; sister-in-law:  Faye Claiborn; as well as many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Jeffers family on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Dean Barnes officiating.  Music will be provided by:  Shane and Shonda Phillips.

Committal service will follow in the Sexton Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be her family.
