Patricia Ann (Sexton) Jeffers

Patricia Ann Sexton Jeffers, age 82, of Scott County passed away Sunday, August 17th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.  Born on September 10th, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Alma Newport Sexton.  Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who was known for the strength, determination, and unwavering love for her family.

Patricia was employed at Huntsville Elementary School for 16+ years, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand.  Her work there was a reflection of her deep care for the children and the community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 65 years: Rexford (Donnie) Jeffers; brothers and sister: Tony Sexton, Shirley (Sexton) Sharp and Marshall Sexton; nephew: Roger Allen Sharp; and infant great-grandchild: Kylan Tritt.

Patricia is survived by her daughter: Donna McDonald (Johnny); and son:  Steven (Bo) Jeffers (Rhonda); grandchildren: Haley McDonald, Jeremy Jeffers, Torey McDonald and Nieka Tritt (Ben); brother and sisters-in-law: Teresa Sexton, Sue Silcox and Roger Sharp; great grandchildren: Kaiya Tritt and Raven Tritt; special family and friends: Heather Sexton, Rayse Cash, Kamden Cash, Linda Sharp, Sharon Kay Keeton, Melvin Jeffers, Buffi Daugherty, Sheila Byrd, Thelma Silcox and Joyce Owens; and many more dear family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Friends may visit with the Jeffers family on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Keeton and Melvin Jeffers officiating.  Music will be provided by Jimmy and Sarah Byrd.

Committal service will follow in the Rector-Byrd Cemetery in Huntsville, TN.  Pallbearers will be: Torey McDonald, Jeremy Jeffers, Colby Jeffers, Rayse Cash and Kamden Cash.
