Patricia (Pat) Duncan

Patricia (Pat) Rose Duncan, age 57 of Helenwood, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Oneida, TN on June 14, 1963 to Thomas L. Stephens and Girleane Stephens. Pat was a member of the Dixie Freedom Baptist Church of Whitley City, KY. She was a devout Christian and solid in her faith and love of the Lord. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and Nana. Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, and working in the yard. She enjoyed doing for others and her crafts and talents given to her children and grandchildren will be carried on through the love she showed. She was well known for her creativity and humor, such as her Christmas skits she performed every year for her family. Her personality and smile filled a room.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas L. Stephens; her father-in-law, Harold Duncan; mother-in-law, Hazel Abston Duncan; and her brother, Thomas Edward Stephens.

Pat is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bobby Lee Duncan; son, Christopher L. Duncan (Beth); daughters, Rebecca A. West, Madelline E. Lawson (Allen) and Jessica M. Duncan; grandchildren, Thomas Linyx West, Abigail Parker Duncan, Brynden Lee Thomas Lawson, Baylee Rose West, Jaelynn Grace Lawson and Trevor Allen Lawson; mother, Girleane Stephens of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Katherine R. Jones (Ken) of Knoxville, TN and Mary E. Desai (Hem) of Athens, AL; special sister, Jolene Styles (Denny) of Knoxville, TN; and many other family members and friends.

Special thank you to her Grace Primary Care family whom she loved very dearly as well as her hospice nurse, Brenda Smith.

Friends may visit with the Duncan family on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Joe West officiating and Dr. Tim Smith will read the obituary.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Denny Styles, Allen Lawson, Trevor Lawson, Lacey Lowe, Lance Lowe and Doyle Lowe.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
