Rev. Guyly V. Ainsworth, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1940.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Ruth Ainsworth; his parents, Pate and Nola Ainsworth; sisters, Gwen Mobley (Blanchard) and Shirley Johnson (David); son-in-law, Greg Brown; granddaughter, Tasha Lynn Ainsworth; and great-granddaughters, Braylee Hope Brown and Jaslynn Rose-Ann Brown.
Rev. Ainsworth is survived by his sons, Garry “Buddy” Ainsworth (Denise) and Kenny Ainsworth (Donna); daughters, Pam Brown and Leann Lee (Brian); sister, Vera May Thornhill (Buddy); brother, Pate “Bud” Ainsworth Jr. (Helen); 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends. He loved deeply and was deeply loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may visit with the Ainsworth family on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at New River Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Walker, Rev. Charles Webb, and Rev. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by Leighann Wolfenbarger and the grandchildren.
Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins with full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Pallbearers will be: Garry “Buddy” Ainsworth, Kenny Ainsworth, Brandon Ainsworth, Lance Ainsworth, Riley Wolfenbarger, and Will Russ. Honorary pallbearers will be: Corey Stanfill, Ethan Lowery, Ryker Lowery, Jakob Brown, Travis Russ, Ryan Lowery, and Brandon Reynolds.
