Richard Free

Richard Blake Free, age 78 of Oneida, TN passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Huntsville Manor. Born in Jacksonville, FL on September 15, 1945, he was the son of Blake and Katherine Free. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Blake Free; mother, Katherine Free Westfall; and brother, Ronald Free.

Richard is survived by his brother, A. Craig Free; sister, Darlene Edmondson and husband Lee of Brunswick, Maryland; many nieces and nephews; as well as many other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Free family on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home. 

A graveside service will follow in the Cooper Memorial Gardens in Coopertown with Bro. James Roberts officiating. Music will be provided by Greg Jeffers. Pallbearers will be: John V. Thompson, John Thompson, Jr., Bill Free, Greg Jeffers, Craig and Talon Free.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Free Memorial Fund at United Cumberland Bank.
