Ricky D. Byrd, age 53 of Oneida, TN, departed this life on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home. Born in Scott County, TN on July 5, 1966, he was the son of the late Dennis R. Byrd and the late Geraldine Smith. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Cook and Lydge Terry and Hurstle and Mary Jane Bell.

Ricky is survived by five sisters, Denise Byrd of Helenwood, TN, Heather Rutherford of Jacksboro, TN, Angie Newport and husband Allen of Helenwood, TN, Melissa Jones and husband Barry of Oneida, TN and Mary Lee and husband Danny of Annadale, TN; one brother, Tim Smith and wife Misty of Pioneer, TN; six nephews, Zac Newport, Dakoda Byrd, Danny Lee Jr., Dusty Lee, Peyton Smith and Gabe Smith; eight nieces, Katelyn Newport, Jacinda Steakley, Kristy Jones, Amber Watters, Peyton Brandburg, Zori Rutherford, Deziree Lee and Zoey Smith; eight great nephews; three great nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Ricky’s request was cremation.
